Wow, it's been a long time since I've been on the blog. However, I've recently taken up couponing and thought this would be the perfect place to document my progress. I've been interested in couponing ever since I saw the tv show Extreme Couponing, but it always looked hard and time consuming, so I never gave it a shot. Until recently, that is. So far I've only been couponing at Walgreens, but I plan to give Target a try too. And maybe Walmart, if all goes well.
Since I will be starting pharmacy school in the fall (aka I'll become an even poorer college student) I figured now would be the best time to start saving up. I'm by no means and "extreme couponer". Ain't nobody got time for dat. lol. I basically use hip2save.com as my cheat sheet and just get all the coupons needed for products I wish to purchase.
So here's the breakdown for my first 3 couponing trips at Walgreens.

Total Saved: $14.58
So for all 3 trips:
Total Paid: $18.13
Total Saved: $35.74
I'm extremely happy with my savings so far! My goal has been to roll my RR so that each time I'm reducing my out of pocket costs. I'm also trying to make sure that I don't fall into the trap of buying every good deal; so I only buy something if I need it or am sure its something I'll use.
I look forward to more couponing trips and seeing how much I save over the next few months :)
